The Western Australian Workshop on Information Systems Research (WAWISR) is hosted by the Information Systems departments of the universities in Perth, Western Australia. In 2001 The University of Western Australia has the pleasure of hosting but UWA wishes to acknowledge the substantial contributions of Edith Cowan University (WAWISR host in 2000), Murdoch University (1999), and Curtin University of Technology (1998).
Call for Papers (now closed)The 4th WAWISR is hosted by the UWA Department of Information Management and Marketing, on Monday 26th November 2001. The purpose of these workshops is to promote discussion and interaction among members of the Information Systems research community in WA. We are particularly interested in exchanging research ideas and results which will not only contribute to academic areas, but will also benefit the local business community in the foreseeable future. It is hoped that the workshops will help to bring IS researchers from the WA. universities together and encourage collaborative research between our respective IS departments/schools leading in the long term to a greater impact by WA university IS researchers on the national and international scene. Your respective heads of department/school (see below) will be encouraging all of you to attend in order to maximise interaction and cooperation at this forum. The intention is that the workshops will be hosted by each of the W.A. IS schools/departments in turn. TOPICSWe solicit condensed research and position papers describing original ideas, new results, novel applications, or "experience reports" in any and all aspects of Information Systems. Research students or researchers reporting work-in-progress are particularly encouraged to submit: the goal is to be inclusive so all submissions are welcome.
